Archronica Terms of Service

Effective date: November 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the game "Archronica" (including its free demo; the "Game") and the Game's online service (accounts, storage of your cards and other data, matches, and related features; together with the Game, the "Service"), provided by Chronowa Games ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Archronica Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

  1. These Terms apply to all matters between you and us relating to the Service.
  2. Specific rules we publish in the Game or on our website (such as notices and our video & streaming policy) form part of these Terms. If they conflict with these Terms, the specific rules prevail.
  3. Your purchase of the Game, and any payments and refunds through Steam, are governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement of Valve Corporation.

2. Your account

  1. Playing the Game requires an internet connection and a Service account. Your Service account is created automatically from your Steam account, and you are signed in automatically when you start the Game. Each Steam account has one Service account.
  2. You are responsible for keeping your Steam account secure. If your Steam account becomes unavailable, you may lose access to the Service.
  3. You may not transfer, lend, sell, or share your Service account with anyone else.

3. Minors

  1. If you are a minor, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
  2. You may not use the Service if you are not old enough to use Steam under the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
  3. If we sell paid digital items in the Game in the future, minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before making a purchase.
  4. If a minor deceives us, for example by claiming to have a guardian's permission, or keeps using the Service after coming of age, the minor cannot cancel their agreement to these Terms or their purchases on the ground that permission was not given.

4. In-game items

  1. Cards, decks, gold, memory shards, card styles, cosmetics, and anything else you obtain in the Game ("In-Game Items") are licensed to you for use within the Game. You do not acquire ownership of, or any other right to, In-Game Items.
  2. In-Game Items cannot be exchanged for money, points in other services, or anything else of value, and cannot be refunded, except where required by law.
  3. To keep the Game balanced, we may change the abilities, numbers, and ways of obtaining In-Game Items.
  4. If you delete your Service account, or your account is deleted under Section 7, your In-Game Items are lost and cannot be restored.

5. Paid digital items

  1. If we sell paid digital items in the Game, purchases are made through Steam's in-game purchase system and are subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
  2. Refunds of paid digital items follow Steam's refund rules, unless the law requires otherwise.

6. Prohibited conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

  1. break any law or act against public order and morals;
  2. use, make, or distribute programs or tools that manipulate the Game or the Service (cheats, mods that affect online play, bots, automated play, etc.);
  3. analyze or modify the programs of the Game or our servers, except to the extent permitted by law;
  4. intentionally exploit bugs, or spread ways to exploit them;
  5. put excessive load on, or gain unauthorized access to, our servers or network;
  6. sell, buy, transfer, or lend accounts or In-Game Items for money or anything else of value, or offer to do so;
  7. use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage;
  8. undermine fair play in matches, for example by losing on purpose or trading wins, or intentionally disrupt a match;
  9. harass, defame, discriminate against, or impersonate other players or anyone else;
  10. use player names or other displayed text that infringe others' rights or are obscene or discriminatory;
  11. infringe our or anyone else's copyrights, other intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; or
  12. do anything else we reasonably decide is inappropriate for running the Service.

7. Enforcement

  1. If you break these Terms, we may take necessary action, such as giving a warning, changing your player name, restricting features, or suspending or deleting your account.
  2. We will normally tell you before taking such action. In urgent cases, or where needed to protect other players, we may tell you afterwards.

8. Changes to, interruption of, and end of the Service

  1. We may change the content of the Service.
  2. We may interrupt all or part of the Service:
    • for maintenance or updates;
    • when our equipment or that of our service providers (such as server providers) fails; or
    • because of natural disasters, power outages, network failures, or other events beyond our control.
  3. We may end the online part of the Service. If we do, we will give notice in the Game or on our website at least 30 days before the end date. After it ends, you will no longer be able to use In-Game Items.
  4. If we end the online part of the Service, we will consider making the Game playable offline to the extent reasonably possible.

9. Intellectual property

  1. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Game and the Service belong to us or to the rightful third-party owners.
  2. You are free to stream the Game and post videos of it, including for monetization, in line with our video & streaming policy.

10. No guarantee

We do not guarantee that the Service will be free of bugs, always available, or fit for any particular purpose. Our liability for any damage caused to you by problems with the Service is set out in Section 11.

11. Limitation of liability

  1. We are liable for damage you suffer in connection with the Service only where it is caused by reasons attributable to us.
  2. Even then, except where the damage is caused by our intentional act or gross negligence (this paragraph applies only where we are slightly negligent), our liability is limited to ordinary and direct damage you actually suffered, up to the total of the amount you paid for the Game and the amount you paid in the Game during the six months before the damage occurred.
  3. The exclusions and limitations of liability in these Terms do not apply where the law does not allow them.
  4. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country or region where you live.

12. Changes to these Terms

  1. We may change these Terms if:
    • the change is in the general interest of users; or
    • the change does not go against the purpose of these Terms and is reasonable in light of the need for the change, the appropriateness of the new content, and other circumstances.
  2. When we change these Terms, we will announce the change and its effective date in the Game or on our website a reasonable period before it takes effect.
  3. For important changes that are unfavorable to users, we will ask for your agreement again in the Game.

13. Contact

  1. We give notices in the Game, on our website, or through Steam announcements.
  2. For questions about the Service, contact support@chronowagames.com.
  3. The name and address of our representative are available on request without delay.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute between you and us relating to the Service will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction, in the first instance, of the district court with jurisdiction over our place of business. This does not affect any right you may have under the laws of the country or region where you live to bring a claim in your local courts.

15. Personal information

We handle information about you obtained through the Service in accordance with the Archronica Privacy Policy.

16. Severability

If any part of these Terms is held invalid under law, the rest of these Terms remains in effect.
